The Filipino government lets our fellowmen to work abroad. Why? Because it helps the country's economy to grow higher and achieve more. Most of us don't have a good condition in life, some have some while some have most. Let's face the truth, the reality for our daily lives. We move along within a circle of corrupt officials. We are in a system of people who doesn't think of other's status in life. We are in a system of a corrupt government. For me, Filipinos should not work overseas anymore if there's a lot of possibilities to explore here in our country for a better life than abroad. But what's happening? Our fellowmen struggles and find their way to get a better life abroad. They seek for a better living because they can not find it in here, in our country. Our fellowmen's goal is to find a better source of income to support their family's financial needs. We all know that some of our great and dedicated fellowmen are working overseas to support their family, to pay for their monthly bills, to support their children on their studies and to give their family a better life. Our great workers should not struggle overseas and be miles away from their families anymore if our government would support them and give them jobs.

Romeo and Juliet: Unhappiliy Never After
The Capulet s and the Montague s had their feud for a long, long time. Many believed that they had their feud because of their power and their social status in Verona. But what the people don't really know is that the family's feud was all about Romeo and Juliet. Lord Capulet, the said father of Juliet and Lady Montague, the said mother of Romeo had a relationship that lasted for many years long before Lady Montague met Lord Montague (the parents of Romeo). Lord Capulet and Lady Montague's love for each other lasted for many years and their love for each other bare a child named Lucille. Lady Montague did not know what to do after she delivered the child. Lord Capulet left Lady Montague but he brought Lucille with him. That time, Lady Capulet was also bearing a child, and when Lady Capulet delivered the baby, it died after some hours. Lord Capulet brought Lucille to his wife and told her that she was their new born child. Lady Capulet believed her husband and she named their child Juliet. Many years past but Lady Montague and Lord Capulet did not have their communication with each other. They did not know what happened to their child Lucille. What the people don't know is Juliet was the daughter of Lady Montague and Lord Capulet. Juliet grew up not knowing the truth. Romeo, the son of Lady Montague and Lord Montague fell in love with Juliet. They fell in love together later on not knowing that they were siblings. That's why the two families can't have peace. The two married each other but the tragic truth is they were not meant to be with each other.

Game of Fools
When we choose to love, we also choose to sacrifice.
We always try to mend a broken heart
and shed the tears in our eyes.
But all of these was just a broken part.
Every time I try to look at you,
all I see is sadness and love at the same time.
But is this the prize I have to take?
Yes. This is what I called a heartbreak.
As I last a day alone,
I thought that I can't let go and move on.
But I was wrong,
now I am strong enough to let go of my feelings for you.
They said that love's a game.
Try to play but don't get upset if you lose,
just be nice and a sport one when playing.
You'll never know someone's waiting.
We always try to mend a broken heart
and shed the tears in our eyes.
But all of these was just a broken part.
Every time I try to look at you,
all I see is sadness and love at the same time.
But is this the prize I have to take?
Yes. This is what I called a heartbreak.

Thanks Maestra!
She's no superwoman, she's no beauty queen. But she's definitely one of the best teacher I've ever seen. She's no Rihanna, she's no Katy Perry, and she's definitely not one of the singers you see on TV. She's no princess, she's no Beyonce Knowles. But she's definitely one of the best persons I've ever known. She's not Mel Tiangco, and she's not Belo. But she's my favorite teacher, the one and only, Mrs. Arlyn D. Tolentino.
Until one day I came to her classroom and I asked something. We chat for several minutes and we talked about many things. I told her my secrets and I told her who is my crush. We had fun talking to each other and she gave me advice that made me realize about many things which I haven't realized before. At that very moment, one thing came in to my mind that she got almost everything I want to a teacher. Well, I love all the teachers in the campus but I don't know if they like and love me back. But to Mrs. Tolentino, she's very approachable and very understanding. She understands what I feel. Just don't fail to pass your projects in Filipino on time or else she'll get mad. Joke. HAHAHAHA. Thanks Ma'am Arlyn, I'm so lucky and grateful to meet a teacher like you. I will never forget you Ma'am until the day I die. I love you Ma'am Arlyn :) Thankyou very much for being such a wonderful person.
Sometimes I'm stocked to wonder if she likes me. I admit it, I'm so annoying and noisy during her class. But I'm trying my best to keep quite not only to her class hour but to all the subject classes. The first day I saw her, I thought she is a very strict teacher. She even scolded me that very first day of class because I'm so noisy. But as the days pass by I find her so cool. I always laugh at her jokes even though some of her jokes are corny. I like the way she teaches us students because she understands our feelings and she's concern on our performance during her time. I remember one time, I can not answer her question, I felt so shy and I don't know what to say. And I'm also thinking what if my classmates laugh at me if my answer is wrong? I thought she'll forget about what happened.

Blast from the Past
If I will be given a chance to talk to someone who inspired me most, I will choose Mr. Ferdinand Marcos. He inspired me because of his greatness as a leader here in the Philippines. Although others are against his leadership, I respect their opinion.
Joana: Good Morning Mr. Marcos! It's my honor to take a walk in the park with you.
Mr. Marcos: Me too Joana, it's my pleasure to talk to a student like you. As we all know, students now-a-days seems to forget about history.
Joana: That's true Mr. Marcos. Well, I would like to tell you something.
Mr. Marcos: What's that?
Joana: I really adore you Mr. Marcos!
Mr. Marcos: Thank you very much Joana. I feel so happy whenever I hear something like that. Let's admit it that not everyone liked the way I ruled the Philippines during my Presidency.
Joana: It's true Mr. Marcos, but if I was born during your time, I would definitely like your strategy as a president.
Mr. Marcos: Why do you say so my dear? Don't you like the way how Mr. Aquino runs the Philippines today?
Joana: I like it better when you were the president.
Mr. Marcos: That's so flattering Hija.
Joana: It's true Mr. Marcos, because of your dedication to your work, the Philippines became one of the richest countries in Asia. Well, I am not against Mr. Aquino's strategy but for me, you're definitely the best president.
Mr. Marcos: Thanks child, I wish you all the best as you grow up. And I'm hoping that you will become one of the most promising leaders here in our country. Whether it's in your school, in your community or even the whole Philippines. By the way, what do you want to be when you grow older?
Joana: Hahahaha, it may sound funny, but I want to be a successful civil engineer someday. But there's a problem, I'm not good at mathematics.
Mr. Marcos: There's nothing funny about that Hija. As long as you strive hard and pursue your dreams. You can be whatever you want to be. You should always remember that everybody's not born beautiful, smart and perfect. Nobody's perfect! But I believe that you'll be a successful and rich Civil Engineer someday. And you'll be known for your excellency!
Joana: Thanks Mr. Marcos!
Mr. marcos: You're very welcome Joana. Just don't forget to trust yourself, your skills and everything you have.
Joana: Can I give you a hug Mr?
Mr. Marcos: Sure Hija, *taps my back* Godbless Hija, I know you can do it! Goodluck.
Joana: Thankyou Mr. Marcos. Goodbye.
Mr. Marcos: So long Joana! Until we meet again. Bye!

The Crowning Glory of a Calla lily Ponder
In life, we also need to take a break. We need to relax and take time to give ourselves a happy moment. We need to give ourselves a break from problems and think of happy moments we had with our friends and our family. We need to give love to others and to be loved by others.
The Crowning Glory of a Calla lily Ponder is a tale of family and friendship, tragedy and triumph, loss and love. No matter how hard the problems are and no matter how hopeless we are, we can still count to each other and make ourselves feel better, because no one knows us better than we do. This story is all about a girl named Calla who bursts into being a force of nature as luminous and as beautiful as the flower she is named after. Under the loving light of the Moon Lady, the feminine force that will serve as her guide and protector throughout her life. Calla enjoys a blissful, happy and blessed childhood—until it is cut short. Her mother, M'Dear, a woman of rapture and love, teaches Calla compassion, and passes on to her the art of healing through the humble womanly art of "fixing hair." At her mother's side, Calla further learns that this same touch of hands on the human body can quiet her own soul. It is also on the banks of the La Luna River that Calla encounters sweet, succulent first love, with a boy named Tuck. But when Tuck leaves Calla with a broken heart, she transforms hurt into inspiration and heads for the wild and colorful city of New Orleans to study at L'Academie de Beaute de Crescent. In that extravagant big river city, she finds her destiny—and comes to understand fully the power of her "healing hands" to change lives and soothe pain, including her own. When Tuck reappears years later, he presents her with an offer that is colored by the memories of lost love. But who knows how Calla Lily, a "daughter of the Moon Lady," will respond?
This story shows how can a girl pursue her dreams without any destruction

The Truly Great
Great people with great deeds!
We don't need to be like the superheroes to be called "GREAT." We don't need to suffer to be called great. For me, doing simple things with or without anybody watching and not waiting for something in return is already a great deed. We can be great in our own way. Just continue to inspire other people and you'll never know how great you'll be.

HOW TO COPE UP WITH CHALLENGES?
Well, challenges naturally comes on our way. We don't have everything under control. Only God knows what will happen tomorrow. God has plans for our life, He knows what we need for us to be happy and to be contented in life.
We face challenges because God knows that we can survive. Just like the song "The Climb", which relates to our lives. The message of the song is to "Continue pursuing your dreams, try no matter how hard it is. Don't give up!". Diba nga ang mga Pilipino ay nananatili pa ring masaya sa kabila ng mga problema? We always wear a smile on our faces kahit pa madami ang problema. Just like the bamboo, we always remain strong.
Challenges do come on our lives, so instead of giving up, we should just take time to relax. Take a break, and then try again. We should always remember that life is full of surprises, we'll never know what's waiting on the other side. So, don't give up! Keep on moving, keep on climbing and don't forget to keep the faith.

My Destiny
What is legacy? For me, it is not the reward, compliments and titles that we should earn to be notice by other people. However, having trophies, medals and titles as an award for our achievements makes us overwhelmed. I don't want to be famous like the actors and actresses that we see on the movies and on the television. For me, it's not the popularity and reward that we should earn but. the experiences and the journey, that will teach and give us lessons in life. I want people to remember me by my good deeds and my real character. On how I speak and act as a good and loving friend that they can talk to, a loving and obedient daughter to my mother and the most important is to be known as a real person and how they felt my love for them.

Who built me up? My Mother!
My mother, Marifi L. Anastacio, is considered as a hero by myself. She's always here right beside me whenever I feel down. She makes me happy whenever she see me cry and frown. She's my downfall and she's my queen. She is my best friend at all times. Before I was born, my father left us. And still she did her best to provide us a strong and happy family. She served as a mother and a father to me and my sister. She strive hard to give us what we need.
Back when I was four years old, I was involved in an accident which caused blood to clot around my brain. Since I was an ankle-biter, my mother did not let the doctors to set an operation. But, I should be operated at that time or else I'm going to die. I survived the operation without knowing that my mother sacrificed some of her blood for me. Finally, I recovered fast because she took care of me.
Now that I've grown, I became stronger, however, there are times that I can not face my problems alone. That's when she lends her hands to help me and guide me. She built me up and changed me into a better individual. No wonder, she is a better heroine than wonder woman.

High School Life, Oh, High School Life!
I started as a 7th grader, so innocent as an angel.
I took a deep breath as I enter the school,
with wondering eyes, I don't know what to do.
I can't speak, I can't talk.
Strangers around me, unfamiliar faces, unfamiliar voices.
Eyes are watching everywhere.
At the end of the day, I told stories to my friends.
With an awkward moment to see the seniors around the campus.
I survived last year's pressure of expectations.
Stressful home works and projects,
Teachers say, why don't you give your best?
They say these years will be the best,
just don't make a mess and strive hard.
In high school, everything is always a test of knowledge,
test of experiences and confidence.
Can you survive the pressure? Because I can.
Another year passed, and now I am in the 8th grade.
New building, new books, new teachers.
Its another year to be fulfilled, with different subjects to learn.
Can I survive the pressure?
And now, I'm in the 9th grade,New building, new books, new teachers.
Its another year to be fulfilled, with different subjects to learn.
Can I survive the pressure?
I survived last year's pressure of expectations.
Stressful home works and projects,
