Blessed by the Pope: Across the Filipino's Minds and Hearts

Last year two thousand and fourteen, a good news spread all over the world and all over the country. The Holy Father of the Roman Catholic Church will come and visit the citizens of the Philippines. Lots and lots of Filipino Citizens heard about the news, and as it continuously spread all over the country, many preparations were done. Many devoted Filipinos prepared for the Papal Visit.

Year two thousand and fourteen came to an end which opened a new beginning for the year two thousand and fifteen. A new rise of the dawn, a new morning, a new day to celebrate the blessings of the Lord. A new rise of  hope that maybe one day, the beloved country and the beloved Filipinos can heal the agony as time passes by. A new rise of hope that maybe one day, we will all understand why all of this is happening to us and to our country.

Many days passed, the Papal Visit came nearer and nearer. People of the Holy Church became busy due to prioritizing the Visit of the Holy Father. During that time, I'm feeling so excited, like woah! Our country is really Blessed, we are so lucky to have the Pope visiting here. I mean, we all know that this is a very rare occasion, right? And I'm happy to see many people getting busy preparing for the coming visit. But, there's always been something that's bothering my mind. Why do Filipinos act like this way? I mean, we can devote to our Lord everyday. I know that this is an infrequent occasion and I understand why many people prepared so much. But, everyday is a devotion day, and we can be blessed everyday by our Lord.

A meaningful Homily was given by the Holy Father, Pope Francis. And that gave hope to many people. A hope that we'll recover from the damage brought by many challenges in life. From this, I realized that we should go into the storm and face the storm with faith in ourselves. We should trust in the Lord kindheartedly. I proved that giving up can't bring us to success, it'll just lead us down to a great failure and catastrophe. We should not give up easily because we are not alone, we may be experiencing hardships but a smile is a big relief in our heart, one smile can help us cure and heal the agony from within.

Long live the Pope and the Holy Church! May God Bless Us all! Let us pray for each other and for a better living and a better place to live.
